Group presentations for young adults

Speaking sessions that make personal finance feel accessible, concrete, and immediately relevant as young adults prepare for life after school.

  • Big-picture framing on compounding, savings habits, workplace retirement plans, and investing basics.
  • Clear explanations of topics students often hear about but do not fully understand, like Roth vs. Traditional, fees, and the power of starting early.
  • A values-based approach that connects money decisions to real life rather than abstract wealth targets.
  • Plenty of room for questions, discussion, and examples.

One-on-one financial education

Flexible, education-only coffee chats that give you personal context, space for questions, and a clearer sense of how the principles fit your own life.

  • Talk through your goals, spending habits, and the tradeoffs that matter most in your current stage of life.
  • Review workplace benefits at a high level, including retirement plans and other foundational tools you may already have access to.
  • Identify the topics where you need the most help, whether that is budgeting, investing basics, account types, or planning priorities.
  • Get set up with a simple dashboard or retirement calculator so you can track net worth and visualize scenarios like buying a home, paying for college, Social Security, and retirement timing.

The Coffee Chat Format

  • Low stakes. Ask basic questions, talk through real tradeoffs, and learn without feeling judged.
  • Grounded. Focus on the big decisions that actually matter, like savings habits, benefits, investing basics, and what enough looks like for you.
  • Actionable. Leave with a clearer next step instead of a pile of abstract advice.
About Me

I care about this work because I wish someone had explained these ideas to me earlier in a clear, practical way. A lot of what changes your financial life is not hidden or elite. It is just rarely taught well.

I studied accounting at the University of Michigan, started my career at Deloitte, and now work in technical accounting. Along the way, I learned that the most helpful money lessons were not about stock picks or flashy shortcuts. They were about understanding a few durable principles, living below your means, and putting the difference to work consistently.

My wife and I took a deliberate approach to saving and investing in our 20s because we wanted more freedom around how we spend our time. That approach helped us scale back work earlier than most people assume is possible, not by winning at finance, but by using simple habits well.
